FAQ

Any candle burning tips?
  • Soy wax has a 'memory'. This means when burned and then extinguished, the next time it's burned, the candle will only melt as far across as it did the last burn. So always burn your candle until the wax melts evenly across the top of the jar.
  • Keep the wick centred & trimmed to ~1/4" to prevent uneven burning & sparking.
  • Burn candles on a clean, flat surface out of direct sunlight and drafts and away from pets, flammable materials, and children.

Do you use any dyes?
Nope. I like the natural colour of soy wax on its own. Occasionally, though, a change in colour will occur because of the natural properties of the oils and/or exposure to UV rays.

Do you use 100% essential oils?
The short answer: no. The long answer: my fragrances are a combination of natural and synthetic oils. A combination is used for the purposes of safety, consistency, and eco-sustainability. Any synthetic oils utilized are phthalate-free.

Can your candle tins be reused?
Yes, my usual technique involves pouring hot water into the tin (carefully), which will melt the wax. As it cools, it will rise to the surface and form a disc on top. Once solid, fish out the disc, empty water and wipe out the tin. Do not to pour wax down the drain; it can clog pipes!
